About

Word Exhortation Outreach is a sermon and bible teaching platform founded by Eromosele Ikiakhele in order to reach out to people sharing God's word. The main aim of establishing this platform is to bring to people the undiluted word of God as stated in the Holy scriptures, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished into all good works". 2 Timothy 2:16-17.

IF THAT SAME SPIRIT (PART ONE)

Having the same Spirit with Christ is to have (Zoe) the life of God. Jesus came to give us the God kind of life;

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly” John 10:10.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16.
 The life of God is eternal life and it’s the nature of God.
“For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” John 5:26

To receive Zoe is to receive the new nature; “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation” 2 Corinthians 5:17 - 18.

Receiving the new nature is the most important and miraculous incident in life. This is when God imparts us with His own nature, substance and being. Zoe brings about changes and correction of conducts, habits and appetite. Zoe translates one from an ordinary human to a Godman.

Having the same spirit with Christ is the object of Christian calling and we are called into glory and virtue. So, by having the same spirit with Christ, we are partakers of his divine nature.

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” 2 Peter 1:3 - 4.

As believers,  we are partakers, partners and fellows in the heavenly calling. The calling is heavenly in that we are not limited to an earthly program as all men would have been if man had not sinned. Genesis 1:27–31; Hebrews 12:22-24.
As partakers of the divine nature, we are;
a.       Called into liberty; Galatians 5:13; Romans 8:12
b.      Called  into Holiness 2 Timothy 1:9
c.       Called into the ministry of reconciliation; 2 Corinthians 5:18-20
d.      Called to carry God and His presence
e.      Called to dwell in the secret place of fellowship with God
f.        Called to express God
g.       Called to show forth His praise.

To have the same spirit with Christ means drinking of the same spirit with Him. “And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord” Ephesians 5:18-19.

Drinking of God’s spirit is the same as partaking of His power.

First, we are made to partake of God’s spirit and nature and the nature of God is love; “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us” Romans 5:5
“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his” Romans 8:9.

Second, we are empowered through the baptism of the Holy Spirit to do the same works that Christ did; John 3:34; 14:12. The Spirit baptism without measure is the unlimited supply of God’s power to do the works of Christ;

“In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.  (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)” John 7:37-39.
See also Acts 1:8; 2:1-4

To have the same spirit with Jesus is to he clothed with Him; that is;
a.       To assume his person and character; “I am crucified with Christ: neverthless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me” Galatians 2:20.
b.      To live and sustain the character of Christ in our daily lives; “And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts” Galatians 5:24.
c.       To take on the life and works of Christ following His footsteps. “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps” 1 Peter 2:21.
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father” John 14:12.
