FRESH ANOINTING

But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil.
Mine eye also shall see my desire on mine enemies, and mine ears shall hear my desire of the wicked that rise up against me.
The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God.
They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing;
Psalm 92:10-12.

To finish is to stop doing an activity or task after reaching the point of satisfaction or to reach the final part, conclusion or completion.

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2 Timothy 4:7.

There are three key words in Psalm 92:10-14;
Anoint
Horn
Oil

Horn here represents capacity, power and authority. It could be mental, physical, spiritual or financial capacity/strength.

Anoint means to smear something or someone with oil. Its an act of consecration. The anointing  is the presence of the Holy Spirit and His activity in someone's life.
It is the overflowing life of Jesus which imparts supernatural strength enabling an individual to perform a special task or function.


PRAYER
Lord give me fresh anointing
Let the overflowing life of Jesus impart supernatural strength into my spirit to enable me carry out my God given assignment on earth.

THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN THE LIFE OF A BELIEVER

1. The Holy Spirit is the believer's teacher giving guidance to the truth.
    Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; 
but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
John 16:13.
The Spirit searches all things, the deep things of God. 1 Cor 2:10-11

2. The Holy Spirit helps the believer to pray.
   Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the 
Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
   And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the 
saints according to the will of God.
Romans 8:26-27.

Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and 
supplication for all saints
Ephesians 5:18

3. The Holy Spirit gives the believer spiritual gifts and anoints him for kingdom assignment.
 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
 1 Corinthians 12:4-7

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent 
me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set 
at liberty them that are bruised,
Luke 4:18

4. The Holy Spirit gives the believer boldness.
 And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and the spoke the word of God with boldness.
Acts 4:31.

5. The Holy Spirit gives the believer power
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his 
mighty power,
Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the 
heavenly places,
Ephesians 1:19-20

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;
Ephesians 3:16.

6. The Holy Spirit gives the believer wisdom and revelation (the deep things of God)
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
Ephesians 1:17-18.

But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1 Corinthians 2:10-12.

7. The Holy Spirit is the believer's helper and comforter.
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
John 14:16-17.

8.The Holy Spirit gives the believer the ability to bear fruits.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Galatians 5:22-23.

9.The Holy Spirit leads the believer.
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Romans 8:14.

But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
Galatians 5:18.

10.The Holy Spirit gives life to the believer's mortal body.
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Romans 8:11


PRAYER
Holy Spirit, come into my heart and cause in my heart a deep communion with you.
Help me to realize how important your presence is in my life and calling as a believer.
