About

Word Exhortation Outreach is a sermon and bible teaching platform founded by Eromosele Ikiakhele in order to reach out to people sharing God's word. The main aim of establishing this platform is to bring to people the undiluted word of God as stated in the Holy scriptures, "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished into all good works". 2 Timothy 2:16-17.

WAITING ON THE LORD

So many times, we limit waiting on the Lord to just fasting and prayer, but it is far more than that. Waiting on the Lord is to stay put on Him at all cost, it is to completely lean on Him and have absolute confidence in Him.

It means to occupy or be occupied with the Lord and to stand upon your watch.

” Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD” Psalm 27:14.

“Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it” Psalm 37:34.

“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body” Romans 8:23.

“And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come” Luke 19:13.

SOME OF THE ASPECTS TO WAIT ON THE LORD

1.       Waiting on the Lord in one’s calling and God given assignment:

“THERE was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth. And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.  And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years. And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course, According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord” Luke 1:5-9.

Every believer has an official mandate from heaven to occupy in the kingdom business until the coming of the Lord. We are to wait on our office of divine calling to minister to the Lord and to His people. We are called to labour daily in the Lord vineyard on through our individual calling.

“Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord” Romans 12:11

2.       Waiting on the Lord for His Coming

“And to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, even Jesus, which delivered us from the wrath to come” 1 Thessalonians 1:10.

Waiting for the Lords second coming is the essence of Christianity. We wait for the coming of the Lord by remaining steadfast in our works of righteousness, witnessing that Jesus has come in the flesh, that he suffered for sake of the sins of mankind, died and resurrected  from the dead, ascended into heaven and that He is coming back for the second time to judge both living and the dead.
Example of those that waited for the coming of the Lord is Simeon in Luke 2:25; Thus hath the

Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men” Luke 1:25.

Prayer
Lord, give me the grace to wait on You for your second coming especially regarding my assignment on earth and consecration in JESUS NAME, Amen!!!
