Those who have given their life to
Jesus are those who have the full right and power to walk in the spirit because
they are the ones who have experienced the redemption of spirit. “In
whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins” Colossians
1:14.
“To the praise of the glory of his grace,
wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. In whom we have
redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches
of his grace” Ephesians 1:6-7.
This redemption was made possible
by the blood of Jesus.
“Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained
eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an
heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall
the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without
spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause
he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the
redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they
which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance” Hebrews
9:12-15.
“Being justified freely by his grace through
the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” Romans 3:24
The
old man which is the sinful nature is put to death at the new birth and buried
so that we can now live the newness of life.
“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have
put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the
new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him”
Colossians 3:9-10
When we walk in the spirit, we
produce spiritual fruits which only those who are in Christ Jesus can produce.
